So last week when I was at the mall JCPenneys had this super sale! I got this bath rack for $17. I thought it was a good deal. It comes with everything - soap, lotion, spray, salts and more!! And it's Vanilla Almond! It took everything in my power to see if it really tasted as good as it smells! lol I wanted to quickly jazz it up a bit so I added some trim, flowers, baubles and a tag!

I made this for a friend's birthday. She was so surprised and thankful. She's too cute! There were 30 people RSVP'd so I wasn't sure if I'd have enough with one layer so I made two. It is possible to stack two shaped pans, just do it very carefully with a lot of icing! lol Oh, it was a yummy chocolate cake with almond icing!

Wow! She must have had a little too much punch at the party! lol Ever need to make a quick card then nothing works out as you planned it in your head? Yeah! I'm not the only one! I tried to use the new SU In Colors Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette with one of my new Bellas for a quick BDay card. Beep! Wrong number! Not a chance! I will not even tell you how many "scraps" I have left over or how long this took to create! Not at all as planned but it turned out kinda cute. I'm just glad this is one of my friends that wouldn't have a clue how to stamp. So, I think I'm in the clear. Now, if I can just figure out what to do for the cake. Chocolate cake, Almond icing, that's all I got.

He's another stamp from Paper Makeup! I wasn't sure if I needed him but everyone else seemed to love him. Now that I have played with him - oh yeah, so fun!! He's perfect for paper piecing and so much more! I also think I used a whole sheet of dimensionals too! lol Surprise! More Nesties!! But, this time I layered them to create hollow circles! Oh, do you know what happens when you put the multi purpose platform (closed), two cutting plates, two tan mats, one Nestie and a piece of paper through your Big Shot? A shattered mess! No, seriously. My paper shattered! Did you know that paper could shatter? I didn't. But I do now! So much for my first attempt at embossing with my Nesties. Look, what i found at Archiver's! Reg. price $35, on sale for $9.99! The kit came with and 8x8 suede album, stickers, templates, idea pages and a ton of cute dsp (half of them were even stitched!)!! What a deal! So, I of course bought a few! This one's for my father in law's birthday, but I got some for other birthdays and coming up holidays! I can't spoil the surprise, some of my family reads this. lol I jazzed it up with a little Kiwi Kiss, Brocade Blue, So Saffron, white Signo, SU & TAC stamps, rub ons (yep, I can do them now - I found a new tool!!), and of course white Nesties! This is a card set I made for a friend's birthday. I saw a few samples on SCS that had each card done in one color so I had to try it. This is what I came up with. Each one has a different sentiment inside. As for the tin, I had way too many hodgepodge hardware tins left over so I finally altered one. On the advice of Shannon & Ellen. lol Still not loving the color for everything but it worked for this. Who uses Tempting Turquoise on a regular basis? Definitely not me! So, Trey's in charge of snack tomorrow and the theme is Baby Jesus. Yes, he's at a church preschool. He's been talking about these Baby Jesus snacks I made last year but I don't remember exactly what I did. Something with candy. I wanted to do them different this time with less sugar. Did you see the pic? Not even close to less sugar, try quadruple! In my head they turned out a lot smaller. Good thing tomorrow's Friday because those kids are going to be OUT OF CONTROL on sugar!! I needed something to hold my suggestion cards for Tastefully Simple Open Houses! I looked everywhere and was way too cheap to pay $2 a piece, so I came across these in the Oriental Trading Craft catalog! They were natural wood and I painted them and covered them with paper. I also bit the bullet and decided to use my Flower Fusion. They worked great and everyone thought I spent lots of money on them!

This is what I made for our Thanksgiving table. I took the glass plate wall decoration idea and made place settings. I used the repositionable tape on the placemat then put the plate on top. It worked out pretty good and they didn't even get messy! So I can use them again next year! And yes, those are huge plates! I was tired of not having enough room for all my food on a plate so I decided to use 13 inch platters! Trey was excited his food don't touch!

Halloween/Fall Party Gifts

These are the gifts we made for the Fall Party (can't say Halloween because he goes to a church school). The pillow boxes were filled with the best Chex Mix ever. And of course the candle holders were for the teachers with a yummy Mocha scented candle! I used the Xyron and Big Shot to create the design on the glass. I have to say, love the 5" Xyron but really don't care for the X. I tried to use it for some ribbon and it was way too messy. Better luck next time!

Okay, so here's the best Chex Mix ever for Trey's friend's Halloween treats. Of course, I didn't follow the recipe (when do I ever?). Look at the bottom to see what I changed!

Call off the search! I'm no longer MIA! At least for a minute. I've been super crazy getting ready for my son's birthday. 2 parties down, 1 more to go! He picked a circus theme so here's the cake for the main event. I have to say though all the stress and craziness is so worth it. After his sno cone party at school today he said "Thank you Mommy. That was the best birthday party I ever had!!!" Of course, my heart melted and wanted to cry!

I am so much more than excited about Beatrice!!! She is so perfect! I am such a flower power hippy chic, well not really but I love the crazy colors and flowers. This is my Bella Bash challenge #1 card and I even got up enough nerve to use my nesties! I really have no idea why I was so scared to use them but I was. I'm going to order a few of the new ones but told myself I have to get used to my ovals first! They kick butt! Oh and yes, Beatrice is so special that I even used some of Flower Fusion on her. There were aloe socks for my feet (pretty bad when she hasn't even met me and knows how much I need them!), a Yankee Candle Jar in Cranberry Chutney (oh so yummy!), some hot pink rhinestones, 2 beautiful handmade cards (love the layouts!) , and an absolutely wonderful notebook that she made (way too cute to use!), a Dotto refill and last but certainly not least, she sent my son Dr. Suess letters (he was very excited about his Horton Hears a Who stickers!) My Aunt Dot just had surgery so I'm going to send her a card. She's the one that always send those wonderful goodie boxes just because. So, I'm going to send her some goodies! As soon as I saw this stamp, I had to have it. It looks like two girls getting ready for trouble. Well, everyone knows that my Mom and Aunt Dot get in lots of trouble at the Vera Bradley sale, to say the least. It's a get well, thinking of you card that I probably should have used PMSabella or Feelabettabella (I think that's the name), but I couldn't resist Lottie & Gossie. This is my first time to ink it up, too. Oh yeah, and for those of you who like bargains - This ribbon is a part of a set I got from teh JoAnn's clearance for $1. Whoo hoo! Yes, I know you're still waiting on the pic of my $25 outfit. It turns out we never got a pic that night, so I'll have to recreate it. Maybe this weekend. I need to be going to bed now, we get to meet my son's teachers tomorrow!!!!! Yes, he's finally starting on Tuesday. I love my son very much but I'm also very jealous of the other kids that went back 3 weeks ago.

This is the card I made for my SCS Pink Pizazz Card Swap. It's the first time I stamped ribbon. It was so easy, now I regret not trying it sooner.

Teal Jewlery

So, I found a dress in less than an hour. Oh, and surprise it was only $10!!! Then searched all day for jewelry to match. Who would have thought it would be that hard to find matching earrings, necklace and bracelet. I found a solid ball strand at WalMart that was close enough. It still wasn't quite as dressy as I wanted, so off to Hobby Lobby Lobby I went. I am very happy with the way it turned out. And the best part is that it all cost less than $15. Yep, that's a total of $25 for the whole outfit (I already had shoes to match).
